Overview

Seraph is the given name of Breeders Choice Brands first Medical Cannabis focused seed line.

Seraph is a combination of Heirloom breeding works and genetics conducted in the Humboldt region and comprised of selected imported genes from Thailand, Mexico and Pakistan. It is a ”throwback” strain, that produces very unique effects and plants. These effects and traits have been carefully selected for over a number of years and are now stabilised.

Seraph has no other aims than delivery of Medical grade Cannabis and is not for those seeking anything other.

Plant selections throughout the breeding of this line, have been for nothing other than a specific quality of pain relief and cure for insomnia. It is a anti-modern line, that has been selected carefully for flowers that when trimmed and cured correctly will deliver a massive dose of instant, long lasting pain relief and if used in higher dosage will deliver a knock-out sleep inducing head ”stoned to the bones” effect when your eyes want to close and you wish to seek somewhere to sleep. If used in higher dosage in the morning the unique Cannabinoid and Terpenoid profile of this seed line will put you straight back to bed.

Seraph is a Sativa/Indica mix of some of the finest genes selected in the Humboldt and both form the basis of the Trainwreck strains, now famous around the world along with many other modern Drug Cannabis Cultivars. Potency is very high and delivery of effects is what many would call ”Sativa”. Seraph hits you hard, from the first intake the effects will be noticed in the eyes and top of the head as things begin to cloud. Pain is stopped usually in most cases at this point at the receptors are controlled and very busy dealing with the special mix of Cannabinoids and Terpenoids now in charge.

Effects are long lasting and sedative, this combined with the creeper effects of this strain may lead to overuse in early trials. Monitoring dosage is critical for amount of effect. Higher dosage leads to much greater cerebral lockout, but little body effects as pain is controlled all in the head. At such dosage sleep will be induced, users typically yawn a lot, with massive will to lie down to sleep and not impairment of movement.

The plants themselves are extremely easy to cultivate in Organic, and Bio Dynamic gardens, both indoors and outdoors. Ideally this is a perfect outdoor plant that grows as a huge, multi arm creeper type. Indoors, plants have very closed and thin branches that will bend a lot without braking, therefore training early for a bushy profile will maximise flower sets. Flowers form all over the plant and without predominant central Cola’s. They will grow themselves and need no high fertilisation to produce exceptional quality and good yields. A final potting to a organic super soil fed only with water is ideal. Chemical fertilisation is not recommended for this Cultivar.

Flowering period indoor is approx 60 days from seed, although it is strongly recommended to take and flower clones from matured seed plant kept as mothers while making plant selections for personal circumstance. From matured clones plants will finish faster by as much as 10 days and produce even higher level of potency. Outdoors this plant over a full season is a huge bush type that will ultimately produce a high yield of exceptional medicine coming in around October full moon at 40 degrees and South. Seraph is impervious to mould, and will take a lot of rain and thus will adapt quickly to being further North.

Both indoors and outdoors Seraph produces a high leaf to flower ratio, this is intended by her creators. Once trimming, for optimal medical effects we advise the leaving on of the full ‘sugar’ leaves that form in the flower sets. Removing only main leaves. This produces the intense physical effects as described above. Cut and hang plants fully and allow to dry fully before taking off the sugar leaves. If grown correctly and with low fertilisation Seraph will produce a abundance of fine quality medicinal herbs that will not induce any lung expansions, or coughs during use, producing a silky smooth smoke.

Seraph also has unique Terpenoids, a has a creamy smooth, unmistakeable taste and smells of the finest Nepalese hashish Charas. On the exhale their is overripe, sweet fruits from Limonene terpenoids in the background but the line is dominant for the sweet and creamy smooth taste of the finest Charas that really lingers and sticks around in the nose and on the palette. A delightful taste experience and bouquet..

My Favorite Flavors of 2010

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on December 24, 2010 by highboldtage

Here are my favorite flavors of 2010.  All were grown outdoors organically in the Emerald Triangle.  There is fine marijuana grown everywhere, here I am just sharing a bit of the Emerald Triangle with you.  All of the strains below are dank but the rankings are not for potency which may vary but only for taste, which of course is subjective and personal.

1.  Blue Dream

I think I have found a new favorite flavor.  This mostly clone-only strain originated in Santa Cruz and is a cross of blueberry and haze.  There is a nice hint of fruity berryness and the exquisite flavor of the haze is evident.  Nice get up and go energetic buzz, but not as good for pain as straight blueberry.

2.  Skunk #1  Well this is the first time I have ever smoked any skunk strain and I really liked the flavor.  The buzz was good but not as enjoyable for me as a more sativa plant might give.  One of my favorite flavors last year was Pot of Gold, and since it is a skunk cross that might explain its great taste.

3.  Purple Urkel   This Emerald Triangle legendary strain sure tastes good.  It is my understanding that it is in fact a nice fanciful name for Purple Skunk, (Skunk #1 x Purple #1) which explains to me its great flavor.

4.  Blueberry  Well I tried some blueberry for the first time this year.  I know, it is probably the most popular strain at the dispensaries in Arcata, I have been in line at those places and overheard the enthusiastic endorsements of the strain.  But I am still new to marijuana after skipping 25 years or so and I figured what the hell all pot tastes the same more or less.  Anyway I was in the late lamented Hummingbird Health in Myrtletown and they had some nice blueberry so I tried it.  Then I tried a bit from HPRC in Arcata.  Finally this month I was gifted a half an ounce from a grower here in the Triangle. (She must like my singing because I”m not getting any better looking.  Ha!)   Blueberry tastes wonderful, I guess some cuts are more fragrant than others, and some are more blue than others, but whichever cut this is  is a fine tasting strain.  Blueberry also seems to be very good at pain control.

5.  Red Dragon.   This is a strain, apparently from Barney’s Farm in Amsterdam.  The taste is complex, interesting, maybe even challenging.  It doesn’t quite taste like anything else, maybe the novelty is the attraction.

My favorite is still good old Arcata Trainwreck, but I don’t toke it for the flavor.

have a peaceful day,

Bill

This is posted FYI as I know nothing about them except what is on their website.  As always exercise due diligence.  I notice that they have lots of interesting arcata e-32 trainwreck crosses.  I don’t think I’ve ever met a trainwreck cross that I haven’t liked, though some are more “wrecky” than others.  According to the site, these seeds are available at some dispensaries around the state of California.

The following is from the website:

Here are a couple of their strains:

Blue Hawaii
(Blue Dream x Elvis) F1 Blue Dream and Elvis are two elite strains that literally have cult followings in the cannabis world. The combination of these genetics has produced a strain that provides a strong head and body high. The trichrome production is very strong and the flower makes great material for concentrates. The plant grows well indoor and outdoor and does well in SOG or SCROG systems too. If you FIM or Top be prepared to provide extra support for the branches. They will get very heavy as the buds grow.

Sugar Magnolia
(OG Bubba x Trainwreck) F1 This is Mother Chucker’s personal OGxBubba cross bred with the e-32 Arcata descendant to create a flat out bomber of an indica. This is a strong flavorful smoke with a mellow high that will lock you on the couch so make sure the remote and munchies are close. The kind of weed that will have you believe that Jerry Lives!

District Attorney FAIL in Los Angeles FUNNY SHIT

LA Dist. Atty Trutanich and some cops tried to fear monger Prop 19 by demonstrating the effects of “drugged driving” on a couple of stoned journalists at a CHP training course.

Below is an excerpt of this  funny post of one of the participants.  The full article is here:

“A few hits later, I suggested to Tilden that we roll a vehicle, come out holding our necks, sue everyone and retire, but that was the dope talking. Tilden had forgotten his rolling papers, so I gave him my Bob Marley wrappers and Officer Leffert expertly rolled a fat one for him.

“What are you, Rastafarian?” Tilden asked the officer. “Look at the size of that blunt.”

One of us, after several strong hits on a second joint, was now giggling like a high school sophomore, and it wasn’t Tilden or the cops. I believe Train Wreck may be from the sativa rather than indica species of pot.”

“The next generation of me trainwreck replication project, this back cross shows a high number of plants which are very similar to the Arcata Trainwreck  in structure, flavor, aroma, and high. The mother is, of course, the one and only Arcata Trainwreck, a plant renown for her particular high and flavor, and the fathers were selected from my first backcross.

Expect Lime scented flowers with an undertone of skunk, and a high that comes on quickly and hits hard,
with a strong cerebral component and a moderate stoniness to the body. ”

Casey Jones, Head Seeds

Casey Jones is a polycross of ((Trainwreck x Thai) x East Coast Sour Diesel)

In the Ed Rosenthal Book of Buds Vol.3 its says that It was bred by Head Seeds and also says the following:
“Casey Jones combines an excellent sativa mother, a TrainwreckxThai with an outstanding male from Rezdog’s Sour Diesel v3 line. The mother originated from Billy Goat Seed’s Oriental Express cross. She has a very sweet flavour, and a heady trancendent high.

Adding diesel to Trainwreck suggested the Name Casey Jones , engineer of the most famous train wrecks of all time. the sativa-dominant Casey Jones strain has an amazing high. the plant varies slightly in structure, from Thai foxtails to Diesel plumes! It retains the short ripening time of the Oriental Express Mother, finishing in about 8 weeks. Casey Jones is not overly picky, suiting the novice grower as well as the sweet toothed connoisseur.

This Variety multi-branches well, especially when trained. She prefers moderate feeding and grows to a final hieght of 30-40 inches when forced to flower at 12-16 inches. When plants grown short with a single cola (SOG style), they yield an average of 1/3 to 1/2 ounce (10-14g). Grown large and trained, plants can yield up to 3.5 ounces(100g) each,
The Buds form like towers of calyxes, tight bud clusters, creating a looser cola, with colourful pistils that vary from orange to pink. The leaves have thin blades and stems may purple late in the flowering phase.

The Casey Jones flavour is a combination of the confection-like sweet Oriental Express and the citric sour of the Diesel. The high can be felt almost immediately and lasts about an hour and a half. This strain has an up effect with vividly trippy, thought provoking quality that can lead to mental wandering. Under its effects, one may feel a stronger sense of connectedness to self and others. Its good for creative activities that can benefit from an introspective mood and don’t require intense right brain focus. Its less than ideal if you need to make plans, balance your checkbook or do other very linear activities. Go fly a kite, watch a movie, hike around in the outdoors, or engage in a little painting or other interpretive activity when indulging in Casey Jones. Do not drive a train!”

That what the Big book of Buds has to say anyways its sounds tasty, post a smoke report when you get that far!

Mango Trainwreck

Trainwreck x Mango Haze

Indoor
The Legendary Trainwreck clone meets the Mr Nice Mango Haze. Very similar to the Tw x SSH. Somewhat lanky, extremely resinous and trippy potent high. Will need support when flowering since she kept the thin flexible stems of the mom. Excellent for screening.

Indoor flowering 9 weeks average
