This September the Republican National Convention is coming to St Paul, MN…it is our chance to let whoever gets into the white house in November know:

Rising fuel prices are putting us out of business!

Rising fuel prices don’t just effect drivers – they effect everyone when the higher costs are passed on to consumers in the price of food, the price of clothing, and other essentials!

It is time the US Government begins focusing on economic issues at home!

When Shell and Exxon Mobile are raking in record profits, drivers and consumers are getting squeezed out!

JOIN US ON SEPTEMBER 2ND TO SAY ENOUGH! TRUCKERS AND CITIZENS OF AMERICA CAN’T FOOT THE BILL FOR SURGING OIL SPECULATION!

Meeting Place and Time: Sept 2nd (Time To Be Announced)

British truckers protest fuel prices in London

LONDON (AP) — Hundreds of truckers drove to Britain’s Parliament on Wednesday to protest the rising cost of fuel.

Police closed a section of a highway into the capital to let the trucks gather, then escorted the 200 trucks in convoys of 20 into the center of town. Dozens of protesters on foot gathered outside the Houses of Parliament, waiting to go inside to lobby members of Parliament and holding placards that said “Fair Play on Fuel.”

“if they get word of a convoy they are going to blockade the city,”

“if they get word of a convoy they are going to blockade the city,”

But Gramuglia said at a recent meeting, city leaders raised concerns about the convoy blocking police and fire vehicles in the event of an emergency.

“They said under no circumstances do they want the trucks in the city. They said if they get word of a convoy they are going to blockade the city,” he said.

Truck convoy expected to lock state Capitol; CDTA routes affected

Declaring their intentions to “shut down the state government,” truckers are planning to travel to Albany Thursday morning to protest high diesel taxes and the so-called Ton Mileage Tax, along with the new increase on Thruway tolls.

“It’s apparent that stubborn politicians in Albany would rather have New Yorkers fill their tanks in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont and Pennsylvania,” Vincent Gramuglia, president of Countryside Fuels and owner of the Betty Beaver Fuel Stops in upstate New York. said in a statement announcing the rally.
