Possible Shooting Range Suicide In Vacaville

A state worker was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in the Center Mass Shooting Range in Vacaville on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The shooting range is owned by Ed Tubbs, chief of the Albany Fire Department.

update:  Authorities identified a Sacramento man who died Wednesday from a gunshot wound at a Vacaville indoor shooting range as 43-year-old Thomas Walter Weston.

Authorities are investigating Weston’s death at Center Mass Shooting Range as a “possible suicide and not an accident,” said Vacaville police Sgt. Charlie Spruill.

“Police are investigating a Wednesday afternoon shooting incident that left a 43-year-old man dead inside a Vacaville shooting range as a possible suicide, authorities reported.

Officers were called to the Center Mass Shooting Range on Commerce Place at 3:45 p.m. after clients in one section of the range reported finding another customer with a gunshot wound to the head in one of the business’ other ranges, said Vacaville police Sgt. Charlie Spruill.”
