Jim Berkland Is Expecting an Earthquake in California/West Coast

Jim Berkland is making the rounds of some talk shows (most of them seem to be right wing talk shows) and suggesting that during his “seismic window” of March 19-26 there is an elevated risk of an earthquake on the West Coast.

He bases this surmise on the fact of the full moon, it’s closeness to earth (closest in a decade or so), and the nearness of the spring equinox.  All of these things produce high ocean tides as well as “earth tides” and Berkland believes that these tides are one of the triggers of earthquakes.  Also he points out the recent mass death of fish in Redondo Beach as a sign that the animals and fishes are restless, another indication of impending earth movement.
