There is a pot shortage in Humboldt County, at least from my perspective as a 215 patient.
A few weeks ago the county saw fit to shut down the Hummingbird Health Center in Myrtletown, a legal dispensary where I was a member and that was the only dispensary in the Eureka area. They had a great selection of herb, plus some good edibles.
There is supposedly another dispensary opening in Myrtletown but as far as I know it isn’t open yet. If anyone knows any different please post the info here.
I am also a member at HPRC in Arcata but they have been very low on medicinal herb lately, the other day they had only two strains with a limit of 1/8 oz per person. It used to be that they would have a dozen strains and you could buy several ounces. Plus they are out of trim, out of crumble, out of edibles. I’m not complaining about HPRC I like them but WTF is going on? This is HUMBOLDT COUNTY? I can’t really afford to buy high quality bud I usually smoke or vape trim because it is cheaper and more affordable for me.
I used to be a member of THC but they informed me about a year ago that they would start charging a $50 per year membership fee and I said “no thanks.’”
So what the hell is going on in Humboldt? Have all the indoor growers departed for Colorado and Michigan, looking for greener pastures, looking to do legal business in a place that values their contribution? Or is it something else? Or is it just me experiencing a personal scarcity? I know it is the time of year right before harvest of outdoor, so that explains some of it, but come on, they grow a ton of indoor around here too, in Arcata and Eureka and every little nook and cranny. Don’t they?
