SickMeds Green Crack

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on May 19, 2013 by highboldtage

I am one of those pro-cannabis activists who don’t like this strain name.  I suggest we change it to Krakatoa.

I have had the chance to smoke this twice with small samples from HPRC in Arcata and THC in Myrtletown (this was a couple of years ago) and I will say its (Green Crack) bag appeal is second to none, so its easy to see why the growers and dealers like it.   Nice nickel and dime size very solid nugs, glistening gold, blue, green, purple.  Like little jewels.  Nice smell.  Great smoke, but not the absolute best IMHO but again its easy to see why some tokers will LOVE this strain, if the Sickmeds seeds can provide a legit rep of the strain.  Good GC is top shelf, top dollar so finding good seeds is a plus.  If anyone grows these let us know in a comment.

Green Crack Feminized Seeds (S1)

GreenCrack

Green Crack Feminized Seeds (S1)

Indoor / outdoor

Originally titled Green Cush, just Cush or Lillie Coy when it was released as a clone only, this mango/papaya smelling beauty its a ’89 SSSC Skunk#1 crossed with a mysterious Californian Indica. This strain is very easy to grow and barely need any attention from its grower, if vegged bit longer, will surprise with descent yield around 450-500g per square meter indoor. She like to be trimmed from the bottom “lollipopped” and pruned/topped to get best yield off her. Green Crack also have a tendency to turn purple in colder temperatures making it really nice treat for Your eye, effects are very uplifting and energetic but don’t be fooled this is strong weed !

FOG – Fast Outdoor Genetics

Fast Outdoor Genetics is bringing some fast and potent strains from the Eastern Canadian region. Tough and reliable, just what is needed for the short season.

Early Funk Hardy Bomb Mighty Green Northern Green Northern Sativa ST Amnesia x LR/Thai South Africa Sativa Stank

Northern Green

Outdoor

An indica dominant plant with big chunky buds that are very resistant to mold. It will reward you with a pile of sticky buds that have a piney smell with fruity/herbal undertones. This is a great strain for guerilla growers, and will be ready in early September with some phenotypes going until mid September, giving you 1/4 lb to a 1/2 lb of tasty potent buds.

South African Sativa

A very early maturing, pure 100% sativa. These seeds were given to us in 2005, as a hybrid of two local landraces from South Africa. This plant is probably a hybrid of Durban Poison, since it has a slight lycorice, and sharp sour taste, with earthy and spicy notes. The high from this strain is strong and an old school sativa type high. This one will definitely keep you going through out the day. It will grow tall and christmas tree shaped like a typical sativa, and will provide a bountiful harvest of buds with large amounts of resin in early to mid September. Its hardy to mold and fungus, and has been acclimatised to the Canadian climate over 3 generations

Stank

Outdoor

This is our highly inbred sativa leaning hybrid. It is a very early semi autoflowering plant. This is a strong plant with a long lasting and slightly paranoid high. This is not something to smoke before bed. The flavours from this plant range mostly of rotting fruit to fruity with a hint grass and spice. The smoke is smooth, and the taste on the exhale is quite pleasant, especially with the fruitier phenotypes. This plant will produce lots of resin over its leaves, making it a great plant to make hash with. This plant has been bred outside for several generations, and is acclimatized to the Northern climate. Most plants will finish in August, with some going a little longer yeilding a good chunk of strong sativa smoke.

Stroll the Eureka Boardwalk for Herbal Freedom, April 20, 2013

FREEDOMLEAFBW2

I WOULD LIKE FOUR AND TWENTY FRIENDS TO JOIN ME WITH SIGNS ON THE BOARDWALK @ 330 PM ON APRIL 20.  MY ISSUES ARE FULL LEGALIZATION AND SAFE ACCESS (DISPENSARIES) FOR EUREKANS.
Bring your sign (Safe Access? Norml? DIY?)  or I will provide one of several designs.  I will not be smoking please do not offer me any, I am not asking for civil disobedience, just peaceful exercise of 1st Amendment Rights.  There is a municipal ordinance in effect against smoking on the boardwalk, but its legality may be in question since it is possible that the city council never got the approval of the Coastal Commission to enact that change.  This is not the time to challenge that ordinance.   There are vacant lots adjacent to the boardwalk that are relics of the city’s failed and fraudulent redevelopment agency.  Maybe people who need to smoke tobacco can smoke there but I am not a lawyer.  I myself was blessed with the strength to quit my tobacco addiction in April of 2008, five years ago.  :)   I struggled with nicotine addiction for most of my adult life.  I started nicotine at age 18, before marijuana and long before alcohol, which I started at age 21.  I never would have considered smoking marijuana if I hadn’t smoked tobacco first.
And in retrospect, I think that I was relatively blessed that my experience with these things came relatively late in my teens rather than earlier.
Yes I feel better and I sing better since I quit tobacco.  Let me say one more thing.  Cannabis helped me quit tobacco.  It is harm reduction if nothing else.  If you really care about the peoples health it is time to legalize.
At 420 we will stroll for freedom together, back and forth up and down the boardwalk for an hour or so with our signs, making new friends and organizing for victory.
The people lead, the politicians follow.
I understand that there are people here who grow for a living and fear that legalization may reduce the return on their labor.  I do not want to trivialize that fear and I don’t.  I want to hear from people in that situation maybe we can reach some understanding.  Maybe there is some route to prosperity after legalization, no doubt it won’t be perfect, there will be change.
have a peaceful day,
Bill
After 42 Years of Failure, California Lt. Governor Newsom Calls for Legalizing Marijuana

By Phillip Smith on April 15, 2013

SACRAMENTO, CA — At the California Democratic Party convention in Sacramento Saturday, Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom called for marijuana legalization and described the war on drugs as “an abject failure.”
“After 42 years of failure, I think it’s time we concede that if we continue to do what we’ve done, we’ll continue to get what we’ve got. I think you and we deserve better. It’s about standing up on principle, having the courage of our convictions, about saying publicly all too often what we say privately.”

~!!~  please forward  ~!!~

UPDATE:  When I attended the Eureka City Council “Visioning” session last friday I engaged Mayor Frank Jager in conversation during a break.  It may interest you to know that our Mayor is a proponent of full legalization of marijuana.   In fact he is welcome to grab a legalize it sign and come stand next to me on 420 on the boardwalk.   Mostly the Mayor and I disagree on mostly everythng but on this we see eye to eye.

have a peaceful day, Bill

freecalifornia2

I’m going to make 10 or 15  full color posters of this nice Don’t Tread On Me flag above and I will give them away free to the first people who show up and want one.

FREEDOMLEAFBW2

I have about 20 of these nice black and white “Freedom” posters too, for the signless.  They will be free to anyone who is pro-cannabis.

leafsafeaccbw2

If Safe Access is your issue I have a few signs for you too!  Just meet me after 330 at the foot of F St.  First come first serve!  Come down and represent!

leafrespectbw2The Respect Our Rights poster is most likely the one I will carry.  But then I am a radical, I actually believe that cannabis users have civil rights, constitutional rights and human rights that extend back in time before any government.  I have a few of these to share as well.

leafpotprisonbw2

Some of us will want to remember our sisters and brothers who have been cruelly and wrongfully imprisoned over the Herb in neoslavery in for profit corporate prisons.  Yes we can share a couple of these too.

SET OUR PEOPLE FREE!

LEAFGROWBW2

Want to Grow the Economy?  So do we, and we have  a few signs.

On Saturday April 20 I am going to go to the Eureka Boardwalk with a sign at about 3:30 in the afternoon and I hope that five or six of you nice people join me to demonstrate for herbal rights and herbal freedom.   Commencing @4:20 pm we will stroll the boardwalk between F and B sts, with our signs.   I am only asking for a few people to come out and represent, I am not trying to compete with or harsh anyones buzz.   I am not asking for civil disobedience.   This will be for Eureka residents who want to represent for Medical Marijuana Rights, general herbal rights, Full Legalization of Cannabis, those who represent for the spiritual use of cannabis, or those who want to legalize industrial hemp, for anyone who is pro-cannabis but whose civil rights are not being respected.    Lets be a big tent.  This will be for Eureka residents who want to represent but have trouble getting to other venues, but of course it is open to anyone who lives outside Eureka who is pro-cannabis.

We will meet around 3:30 at the foot of F St.  At 420 we will start strolling peacefully up and down the boardwalk with our signs, for about an hour.   Let’s have fun, lets meet new friends, let’s organize.  I welcome other diverse community organizations to come to the boardwalk and table!  I want to meet people who want to get some dispensaries in Eureka, lets get it done.

Would be nice to have a drum circle or two, just saying.

This does not have to be a big thing, but it is an important thing.

I am just thinking about this and it is evolving.  I welcome your input.

Is there anyone who can design a flier for me?  Something readable quarter page (4.24 in x 5.5 in)

I will play a few songs too between 3:30 and 4:20, including of course “Free the Weed.”

How about a few poetry slammers and a few more street musicians?  It’s a Big Boardwalk.

email me humboldt.organizer@gmail.com

I will be there.  I just need five or six people.

Thank you everyone!

have a peaceful day,

Bill

I don’t know anything about this business other than what is on the net.  I don’t know even if they are really here in Humboldt or the Emerald Triangle.  But they have apparently 200k hits so they must have been there for a while.   I came across them by stumbling upon an ad in the San Diego Reader http://sandiego.sandiegoreader.com/Farm/wholesale-medicinal-cannabis-from-the-heart-of-humboldt/12676545

So as always this is FYI, caveat emptor (buyer beware) I am not responsible etc. etc.  But you gotta admit there are a few interesting things going on.   One, the price of marijuana is crashing.  Marijuana Bubble bursting?  [ http://urlet.com/efficient.near ]   Two, the marijuana business is going national.  Three, if this is legit then internet cooperatives are good to go.

Colorado Company Plans Pot-Infused Skin Care Line

apothecanna

(DENVER) — Lavender, aloe vera, and now, marijuana?
The makers of a new line of lotions promise to light up your skin care routine with a special ingredient: cannabis.
The Denver-based company Appothecanna is taking advantage of Amendment 64, the newly-enacted law that legalizes recreational marijuana use in Colorado. Some varieties of the company’s creams, lip balm and body sprays contain cannabis flower oil, which had been illegal due to its high concentration of tetrahydrocannabinol or THC — pot’s psychoactive ingredient.

11 Enemies of Marijuana Legalization

11 Enemies of Marijuana Legalization

From President Obama to NYC Mayor Bloomberg, the authorities are still bent on keeping pot illegal.

October 18, 2012  |

“In 1990, Los Angeles Police Chief Daryl Gates told a Senate committee that people who smoked pot occasionally “ought to be taken out and shot.” That kind of fanaticism, which dominated the debate on drugs 20 years ago, seems to have faded. Today’s politicians are more likely to dismiss cannabis concerns as “not serious” than to rail against the demons of dope—but the powers that be are still bent on keeping pot illegal. U.S. cops bust an average of almost 100 people every hour for pot, and an array of think tanks and nonprofit groups continues to pump out prohibitionist propaganda.

Here are 11 of the worst—the most powerful and the most vehement.

1. DEA Administrator Michele Leonhart

A holdover from the Bush administration, Leonhart was formally appointed to head the Drug Enforcement Administration by Barack Obama in 2010. The antiprohibitionist movement strongly opposed her, citing the DEA’s raids on medical-marijuana growers in California—including one on a 69-year-old woman who had been the first grower to register with the Mendocino County Sheriff.

As the DEA’s acting director in January 2009, she overruled a DEA administrative-law judge’s recommendation and denied the University of Massachusetts a license to cultivate marijuana for FDA-approved research. “This single act has blocked privately funded medical marijuana research in this country,” NORML head Allen St. Pierre said in July 2010.

Leonhart often carries hardline views to absurd extremes. In 2011, asked about the drug-cartel carnage in Mexico, she told the Washington Post that “It may seem contradictory, but the unfortunate level of violence is a sign of success in the fight against drugs,” because the cartels were fighting each other “like caged animals.” In June 2012, asked by Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO) if crack, heroin and methamphetamine were worse for your health than marijuana, she repeatedly answered, “I believe all illegal drugs are bad.” Asked if opioid painkillers like OxyContin were more addictive than marijuana, she answered, “All illegal drugs in Schedule I are addictive.””

Jovan Jackson’s Conviction Overturned in San Diego – Dispensaries Have the Right to Operate

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , on October 24, 2012 by highboldtage

A big win for ASA in San Diego

Joe Elford

http://safeaccessnow.org/blog/blog/2012/10/24/a-big-win-for-asa-in-san-diego/

California’s 4th District Court of Appeal overturned the conviction of San Diego medical cannabis provider Jovan Jackson today. The decision in People v. Jackson recognizes the right of medical cannabis dispensaries to exist and provide medicine to patient-members.  The decision further clarifies that members can participate in the association though financial contributions (sales) alone. This is an important milestone, because until now, some law enforcement and law makers all have refused to acknowledge that patients can organize cooperative and collective associations that sell medical marijuana. Today’s decision may have far-reaching implications for local and state implementation and regulation of medical marijuana.

Jovan Jackson was first arrested for providing medical cannabis in the City of San Diego in 2008. He was prosecuted for cannabis possession and sales and acquitted by the jury. San Diego District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis, a steadfast opponent of medical cannabis, retried him on the same charges in 2009. In that case, Superior Court Judge Howard Shore denied Mr. Jackson the right to use California’s medical cannabis laws as a defense in court. Judge Shore referred to medical cannabis as “dope” and called state medical cannabis laws a “sham” during the trial.

Americans for Safe Access (ASA) took Mr. Jackson’s appeal last year, because we knew this case was important for the future of safe access in California. Medical cannabis opponents have argued steadfastly that every member of a patients’ association must physically participate in the cultivation of plants and that no member can buy medicine. ASA disagreed, and this was just the case to settle the issue. Relying heavily on People v. Colvin, a prior appellate decision in the California’s 2nd District, the court ruled that

“Jackson was only required to produce evidence which would create a reasonable doubt as to whether the defense provided by the [Medical Marijuana Program Act] had been established… the collective or cooperative association required by the act need not include active participation by all members in the cultivation process but may be limited to financial support by way of marijuana purchases from the organization. Thus, contrary to the trial court’s ruling, the large membership of Jackson’s collective, very few of whom participated in the actual cultivation process, did not, as a matter of law, prevent Jackson from presenting an MMPA defense.”

The California Attorney General may decide to appeal the Jackson decision, and ASA will be ready to fight this case all the way to the state Supreme Court. Regardless of what comes next in court, patients should hope lawmakers are listening to court today. California votes called on state officials to “to implement a plan to provide for the safe and affordable distribution of marijuana” when they approved Proposition 215 in 1996. State lawmakers tried to further clarify the issue when the adopted the Medical Marijuana Program Act in 2003. That bill explicitly allowed collective and cooperative associations and provided for reimbursements for medicine.  It is past time for prosecutors like Ms. Dumanis, local law makers, and state representatives to stop stall and start regulating.
