We Need Health Care, not Health Insurance!

We Need Health Care, not Health Insurance!

Myth 4: “Everyone should have affordable health insurance.”
Truth: The truth is that everyone needs health care. Private health insurance is not health care. Only private insurance companies, their executives and major stockholders need health insurance.

  1. Thanks for posting the link to one of my articles examining the health care crisis, and for excerpting words (about health care versus health insurance) from another article.

May I ask you to change the url link to my blog which you included in your blog? I’d like you to use this, instead:

Thanks for helping spread the word.

No way. There’s a big difference between universal health care and universal health insurance. Universal health care collectivizes the irresponsible and unhealthy behavior of others, whereas health insurance covers more incidental and circumstantial health problems. The myth is that health insurance must be corporate-run, rather than public. But no one can honestly cite a right to health care in a country as unhealthy as the U.S., it’s just absurd. Smoke?

  4. If this threatens to be run by the government we are in big crap! I could make a list but I will just say look at the affordable apartment tax credit properties programs. Supposedly set up by IRS, HUD, and state agencies. There is no enforcement or compliance with HUD 4350 and there is no local, state, or federal agency to take consumer complaints when you apply for low income apartments. I fear the same thing will happen if the health care industry is turned over to the government. Every health care problem will result in a team of lawyers being hired. No equal protection courtesy of Congress, Senator Diane Feinstein, the CA Gov Terminator, Jerry Brown, Thomas Safran and others in other states. Fraud at the highest level of government. Ask your congress person how they feel about voters being cheated out of tax credit apartments. I am sure they will dummy up. 1984 is here now. http://www.hudincomeexclusions.spaces.live.com.
