SAN DIEGO — A crowd gathered near Camp Pendleton Friday night to remember a sailor whose family believes he was killed because he was gay, 10News’ Angele Ringo reported. Organizers said the family of August Provost deserves to know all the facts and, so far, the Navy has given little information about his death.
August Provost was shot to death June 30th while standing guard at Camp Pendleton. Friends and family believe Provost was targeted because he was gay.
