Jim Berkland: Near-record Seismic Window Dec 10-17, 2008

  Near-record Seismic Window Dec 10-17, 2008

Folks,
The Seismic Window of December 10-17, 2008 will include the highest tidal force since 1993, based on the expremely close lunar perigee, just 4 hours before the Full Moon.  Also the solsticial tides will reach a maximum on December 21s and we are nearing the yearly closest approach to the Sun (perihelion) on January 4th.

The tidal range at the Golden Gate has never measured more than 9.2 ft. and it will be 9.1 ft. on December 12th.  (You may have noticed that the Secondary Window with the last New Moon produced severe flooding in Venice, Italy.

(What will the next Full Moon do do Venice, California?

Watch for SoCal quake(s) of 4.0-6.5M  during the Seismic Window.
Watch forNorCal quakes of 4.0-6.5M during the Window.
Watch for Northwest quakes of 4.0-6.5M during the Window (WA/OR)
Watch for global quakes of 7.0+M, especially around the Ring of Fire.

All of these “watches” are my “official” predictions, with 85% confidence.

(I hit four of four during the Nov 11-18 past Window.) topped by the 5.4 off the coast of Oregon on Nov.14.)

  1. Jim Berkland does sound like he has something in predicting earthquakes by looking at moon phases. I’d like to know what his thoughts are about the December 21, 2012 planet line-up? It seems that if the moon is tugging on the earth now, with all the planets lining up, there should or would be an indescribable event to take place on that date when we know this lining up is going to happen.
