Schweitzer reacts to radio host’s autism remarks

Governor Brian Schweitzer has spoken out against syndicated talk show host Michael Savage for his remarks last week about autism.

“I know some autistic people and I’m very close to some autistic people and I can tell you who is a brat,” said Schweitzer, “that would be Michael Salvage, not the autistic people of Montana.”

Governor Schweitzer, whose son is autistic, has spoken publicly about the need for recognizing and treating the disease.
