The news is spreading hard and fast about the trucker strike.

Reports have come in that mid-Georgia has already shut their trucks down and the rest of the country is soon to follow. Rising fuel costs have got the American Trucker steaming mad and they have plans to put a stop to it once and for all.

It’s a darn shame it had to come to this! Shame on you that make it harder and harder for anyone to make a living, yet every quarter you are bursting with profit. We need to find an alternative that they can’t get their sticky little fingers into!
Professional drivers are asking American citizens to participate in the “National Shut-Down”
This is an issue effecting all of us and we MUST take a stand NOW. Our government IS a major contributing factor in the outrageous price of fuel…we must take this action to get their attention. All other avenues has only fallen on deaf ears - our government is ignoring the will, and needs, of the American people.

HEADING NORTH, SOUTH, EAST & WEST, KEEP IT AT 35 TO 45 MPH IN PROTEST OF OUR NATION’S ECONOMIC CONDITIONS!
DO NOT DO THIS IN PROTEST OF THE HARD TIMES TRUCKERS ARE EXPERIENCING! DO THIS IN PROTEST OF THE HARD TIMES ALL U.S. CITIZENS ARE EXPERIENCING DUE TO THE HIGH COST OF DIESEL!
THE SLOW ECONOMY COMBINED WITH RISING DIESEL COST HAS PLACED OUR ECONOMY IN A FREEFALL THAT IS AFFECTING ALL AMERICANS! THIS PROTEST IS TO MAKE THE AVERAGE U.S. CITIZEN AWARE OF HOW THE COST OF DIESEL AFFECTS THEIR DAILY LIVES – TO MAKE THEM AWARE THAT THE MORTGAGE CRISIS, JOB LOSSES, RISING FOOD PRICES ARE LINKED DIRECTLY TO THE HIGH PRICE OF DIESEL.
THIS IS NOT A STRIKE OR WORK STOPPAGE! THIS IS NOT AN ATTEMPT TO ORGANIZE TRUCK DRIVERS. THIS IS A WAKE UP CALL FOR THE U.S. CITIZEN TO EXAMINE A SYSTEM SO OUT OF BALANCE THAT OUR POLITICIANS & NATIONAL MEDIA REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE & EXAMINE THE ISSUES. AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO HOLD YOUR GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBLE & URGE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME!
THIS WILL BE EACH AND EVERY COMPANY OWNER/MANAGER & DRIVER LOOKING IN THE MIRROR, SAYING WITH SINCERITY, “THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME OR MY BUSINESS. THIS IS ABOUT MY COUNTRY! THIS IS MY OWN PROTEST!”

MANY TRUCKS WILL SIMPLY BE PARKED AT HOME DURING THESE DATES. MANY WILL BE ON THE ROAD. THOSE ON THE ROAD ARE URGED TO MAKE THEIR OWN PROTEST BY DRIVING NOT MORE THAN 45 MPH ON ALL HIGHWAYS & BY WAYS.
OBEY ALL LAWS. REFUSE TO SUPPORT DRIVERS WHO VIOLATE THE LAW!
PUT SIGNS ON YOUR TRUCK THAT WILL CALL ATTENTION TO YOUR CAUSE & THE REAL ISSUES! SOME SUGGESTED SIGNS….

Truckers- Why are we talking STRIKE, and not BOYCOTT. Who are you pointing this strike at. The shippers aren’t the ones setting the price of fuel. The shippers aren’t the ones who are posting BILLION dollar returns each month. It’s the oil companies. Fuel surcharges and Freight charges are 2 seperate monsters. If the fuel prices are too high, but the oil companies are making so much money, why not strike(Boycott)them. Where are our trucker associations and their ability to be our voice. Why should it be left to those down in the trenches every day to pay the price. Instead of forming picket lines at the shippers, we should all get a list of what oil companies are making the highest profits, and we should refuse to give them our business. EVERYONE, NOT ONLY TRUCKERS have a stake in this problem. Tell everyone that drives a vehicle(truck, bus, car, motorcycle, etc) to boycott these fat cats and leave their product in the tanks to rot. Get the US Public involved and everything will change very fast. Get only the truckers involved, and the US public will only think we are a bunch of hicks that don’t know any better. If you could get the boycott rolling accross the board and announce who we are going to target say each week or each month, not only are we going to get noticed by those we are boycotting, but by those we plan to add to the boycott list next. Make a plan, announce your plan, and stick with your plan, and it will work. If it’s just a bunch of truckers talking to one another, no other part of the US Public will notice until we have all starved ourselves first. Unless all the shippers have secretly bought enough trucks that we are no longer needed, I don’t think they are looking for a way to get rid of us. They need us, and they know it, but what can they do to lower the price of fuel. If you want to pick a target, it’s the oil companies. Don’t buy their gas, diesel, kero, cigarettes,munchies, donuts, DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. Tell your wives, family, neighbors, friends, everyone. Get them on board with our plight and maybe we can get something done. Some of my guys say there is talk of 16,000 trucks shutting down April 1st. Heck, there are individual companies alone that have more trucks than that. You need millions, and I don’t mean just trucks. What happens if you strike, you go throw rocks at guys that are in the same boat as you. That’s ridiculous. Rocks are from the stoneage, you want the most lethal weapon, use MONEY. Throw it at those willing to charge a fair price and make them the good guy. Don’t throw it to the B******S that are emptying out your pockets and smiling all the way to their beach house on the weekend. You shouldn’t pick a fight with the guy that’s not the troublemaker. Know your enemy, know how to beat your enemy.

The enemy is well known. Thats the government who own the oil companies. And we do welcome all those in the “fuel indusrty” to join us….however we are the biggest group who could start the dent in getting attention. None of us WANT to strike…I sure as hell didnt wake up and say “oh this is a good day to stick it to my fellow country men” but when I cant pay my bills or figure out how I am going to send my kid to school, then I better be doing something…I have been sending letters emails to everyone, and anyone. The biggest enemy is over hiding in a foreign country. Thats the enemy…my cousins haul groceries to the east coast do you not think they have thought about the babies, children, teens, old people, pets that will suffer? Its not like this sprung up over night…come on. Maybe your guys are considering striking and you as the dispatcher will have to work harder, and do some creative thing about how to get your product there and on time….I really dont think there will be any “rock throwing” if you truly understood the message here you would recongize that many of us are with the striking guys in heart. All of us one day may pull over…what would be wrong is this…say I pull over and some ass comes along and pirates my loads to make money..thats wrong. Kind of like we all have honor amoung us. I dont know if you have ever been on the road with a seasoned trucker, but I gotta tell you they are a great group of folks. They want a fair wage just the same as everyone else. I am guessing you sit in an office and while these truckers are out running morning and night you are sitting at home with your family 365 days a year eating a hot meal and a clean bed. You talk alot but as my dad just said “really what is your answer to this?” Dad just came in from California….get this fuel was $4.79 a gallon. No surcharge can recoop what we have lost. America take note…watch history happen
We also brought the blankets, bottles, pampers, clothes etc…and not just for babies….
